Jan Laurens has been working as model engineer at DSM Research for a period of 17 years, of which 7 years as workgroup leader of the modelling group. His next job for 2 years was at DSM’s Stamicarbon, also as a model engineer. Since early 1994 he is working in his own company doing model engineering and model development.

During his PhD research project (succesfully concluded in april 2003) Mathieu Westerweele and prof. H.A. Preisig developed a methodology for the rapid and systematic construction of consistent dynamic process models.
