MDI-2 Operator Training Simulator

Large scale dynamic process model of an entire MDI plant used for Operator Training. The model is connected to an Emerson DeltaV DCS and the HIMA ESD is emulated by Mobatec.

PO-TBA Operator Training Simulator

Large scale dynamic process model of an entire PO plant used for Operator Training. The model is connected to a Honeywell Experion DCS and the TriConex ESD is emulated by Mobatec. Our TriConex emulator just requires the actual database file (of the real plant) and can be very easily linked to the dynamic process model.

Solid State Postcondensation of Polyesters

Dynamic process model that provided detailed process insights and opportunities for process and product improvements.

Poly-Ethylene Plant Modelling

Detailed process model of a PE reactor using our advanced Polymer Kinetics Module. The process model is used for doing predictions.

Augmented Reality Demo

Mobatec process models can be easily connected to third party (innovative) technologies. We successfully demonstrated the use of Augment Reality (with several technologies) with a real-time dynamic process model that was linked to an Emerson DeltaV DCS for simultaneous training of Panel (Control Room) Operators and Field Operators.

Protein Adsorption Process Modelling

Optimization of the adsorption process in a plant in terms of productivity, protein capture, chemical usage and wastewater generation. Validated Mobatec Modeller simulations of different configurations of the adsorption unit. Economical evaluation of proposed scenarios for the optimization of the plant performance in terms of productivity, chemical usage and wastewater generation.

Dyneema drying ovens process modelling

Construction of process models for Dyneema drying ovens.

PO-SM Operator Training Simulator

Large scale dynamic process model of an entire PO plant used for Operator Training. The model will be connected to a Yokogawa CentumVP DCS and the TriConex ESD is emulated by Mobatec.

Sulphuric Acid Plant Modelling

High fidelity dynamic process model of a (generic) sulphuric acid plant that can be used for training operators.

Poly-Propylene Plant Modelling

Detailed process model of a PP reactor using our advanced Polymer Kinetics Module. The process model is used for doing predictions.

Operator Practice Factory

Model of a “practice factory” at a school for operators-to-be. This “mini-factory” has several interconnected small skids. A real-time simulation process model was developed to also be able to do “off-line education”. At first the “real plant” was connected to several (major) DCS systems and the Mobatec process model could be connected to a (copy of) the DCS of Honeywell, Yokogawa, Siemens, SMAR, Emerson, ABB or Invensys. For maintainability reasons they later switched to only one DCS vendor.

Heat Exchanger Network Modelling

An energy producing and energy consuming process were to be heat-integrated for energy recuperation. The processes were quite far apart and with a dynamic process model studies were done to understand and optimize the dynamic behavior of the integrated processes under various conditions.

Simulated Moving Bed Modelling

A process model for an SMB adsorption system was developed using Mobatec Modeller. The strategy of modelling and optimization reduced the overall time and investment for the design and development of new SMB systems.

Biomass Torrefaction Process Modelling

Created torrefaction process models which can be used by: OEM’s, Contractors, technology providers, biomass customers, biomass traders, power companies and other users of BTT’s knowhow, to reach suitable mass and energy balances to facilitate concept design’s.

Malt House Model

Supporting the automation of a Malt House with a dynamic process model. The process model was connected to the actual PLC’s that were to be implemented in the actual Malt House and was successfully used for the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).

Steam System Modelling

Dynamic process model of an entire steam network, including boilers, headers, control valves and controllers. The process model was used to investigate the dynamic behavior of the steam headers under various conditions and to optimize the control schemes.

Virtual Brewery Model

A Mobatec Modeller process model for a “double brewery street” (tanker park of about 40 tanks) was connected to a Braumat automation platform and route control, recipe control, scheduling and performance were tested.

Glycol Contactor Process Model

Process model of a glycol contactor with its regeneration unit. The process model was operated through a connection with an Omron PLC system.

Pyrolisis Modelling

Dynamic process model of a plant that converts non-food biomass into a second generation bio-oil. The process model will be connected to a (copy of the real) Emerson DeltaV DCS and serve as Operator Training Simulator to train new operators.
